Our story / Alex Wood, founder
Built by an angler. For the next angler.
The idea wasn’t complicated. Finding good ramp information shouldn’t be harder than finding the fish.
ALEX WOOD / FOUNDERFrom college tournaments to Ramp Report
The questions
maps couldn’t
answer.
As a college tournament angler, I traveled to unfamiliar lakes and kept running into the same problem. A map could show a ramp, but it couldn’t tell me what the launch would actually be like.
Was there enough trailer parking? A restroom? A fee? Could I comfortably launch a 20-foot bass boat? Those details matter when you’re pulling into a new lake before sunrise.
I wanted one place to compare ramps and understand what I was driving into. So I started building it.

A little more knowledge. A lot less guesswork.
The launch is only
the beginning.
Local knowledge belongs on the map.
Ramp Report brings together reviewed information and the experience of anglers who use these launches. Photos, ratings and useful corrections help the next person arrive better prepared.
We’re starting region by region, with depth in Missouri and Arkansas and growing coverage in Oklahoma, Texas and Tennessee. We show what is known, leave room for what isn’t, and improve the report as new information comes in.
Built to get you back outside.
Search a lake. Compare the ramps. Choose your launch. The app should make those decisions easier, then get out of your way.
The next launch is yours.
